Oaxacaventura is located in the peaceful and beautiful Barrio de Jalatlaco in the historical center of Oaxaca, just a 10 minute walk from the zócalo (Oaxaca’s main plaza). This scenic neighborhood retains many ancient buildings and churches, with many side streets still paved in rough stone. We are only a two minute walk from El Llano, one of the prettiest and largest of Oaxaca’s city parks, with its countless benches and other sitting areas around gushing fountains and underneath huge trees, and where cultural events regularly vie with weekly markets for your attention. We are about five minutes from large, public athletic fields and basketball courts, and about a ten minute walk from a large, modern grocery store, where just about anything you need is available. And of course, there are many restaurants and shops of all sorts in the immediate area.
